Staying connected with parents is one of the most important parts of running a great early childhood program. Fleedu’s Daily Activities feature lets you document what children do throughout the day — from art projects and storytime to outdoor play and lunch — and share those moments with parents in real time. Every post you create becomes a live update in the parent mobile app, complete with photo and video support, comment threads, and read receipts so you always know who has seen your update.

Post a New Activity

1

Open the Daily Activities section

From the main navigation menu, tap Activities, then select Daily Activities. You’ll land on the activity feed for today’s date.
2

Tap 'New Activity'

Tap the + New Activity button in the top-right corner to open the activity composer.
3

Select recipients

Choose who this activity is for. You can:
  • Select an entire class to share the post with all enrolled students and their parents at once.
  • Select individual students if the activity applies to specific children only.
Posting to a whole class is the fastest way to share group activities like circle time, field trips, or shared meals.
4

Write a description

Type a description of the activity in the text field. Be specific — mention what the children were learning or exploring, how they reacted, and any notable moments. A good description gives parents a clear picture of their child’s day even when they weren’t there.
5

Attach photos or videos

Tap the camera icon or gallery icon to attach media. You can upload multiple photos or a short video clip in a single post. Fleedu automatically compresses uploads to keep the parent app fast without losing image quality.
Always review photos before posting to ensure only enrolled students from your class appear in the media you share. Avoid capturing children from other classes without their guardians’ consent on file.
6

Publish the activity

Tap Post. The activity is published immediately and appears in the feed for all selected parents. A push notification is sent to parents’ devices at the moment of posting.

Real-Time Sharing and Parent Notifications

As soon as you post an activity, it becomes visible in the Fleedu Parent App for every parent linked to the selected students. Parents receive a push notification on their phone with a preview of your activity text and the first attached photo. There is no delay — parents see the update within seconds of you tapping Post. Parents who have multiple children enrolled will see activities from each child organized separately, so updates never get mixed between siblings.

See Who Has Viewed Your Activity

Fleedu gives you a Total Viewed count on every activity post. To check it:
  1. Open the activity you want to check from your feed.
  2. Look at the Viewed indicator below the post content.
  3. Tap the number to see a list of which parents have opened the post.
This helps you quickly identify parents who may not have seen an important update, so you can follow up directly if needed.
The Total Viewed count updates in real time. If a parent reads the post while you’re looking at the screen, the count will increase immediately.

Parent Comments

Parents can leave comments directly on any activity post. This creates a natural, two-way conversation about what their child is doing at school. When a parent leaves a comment, you’ll receive an in-app notification.

Responding to Comments

  1. Open the activity post from your feed.
  2. Scroll to the Comments section below the post.
  3. Tap the Reply field, type your response, and tap Send.
Your reply will be visible to the parent who commented. Other parents linked to the same post can also see the comment thread, which can help build a sense of community within your class.
Acknowledge every parent comment, even with a short reply like “Thanks for sharing!” It signals to parents that the channel is active and that you’re engaged with their feedback.

Privacy Between Teachers and Parents

Fleedu does not share your personal phone number, email address, or other contact details with parents, and parents’ contact details are not visible to you through the platform. All communication happens within the app, keeping both teachers and parents protected.
This means parents cannot contact you outside Fleedu via information gathered through the app, and you cannot access parents’ personal contact details for any purpose other than what the school administrator has explicitly configured.

Daily Activity Report

Parents can view a Daily Activity Report — a consolidated summary of every activity posted for their child on a given day. Instead of scrolling through individual posts, the report presents all updates in a single, chronological view that’s easy to read at a glance. To generate the report:
  • Parents tap the Report tab on their child’s profile page in the parent app and select the date they want to review.
  • Teachers can preview the same report from the Activities screen by selecting a student and choosing View Daily Report.
The Daily Activity Report is especially useful for parents who were busy during the day and want to catch up on everything their child did in one reading.
You can edit or delete a post at any time from your activity feed. Open the post, tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the post card, and choose Edit or Delete. Parents who have already received the notification will still have seen the original, so if you’re correcting important information, consider adding a follow-up comment to flag the change.
At this time, Fleedu publishes activity posts immediately upon tapping Post. Scheduled posting is not yet available. If you want to prepare a post in advance, you can draft the text in a notes app and paste it into the activity composer when you’re ready to publish.
