Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other close family members often want to stay connected with a child’s school life, even when they can’t be there in person. Fleedu’s Invite Family feature lets you share your child’s activity feed with as many relatives as you’d like, giving them a real-time window into daily photos, videos, and milestone updates — without giving them access to billing, school contacts, or sensitive account settings. You stay in full control of who can see what, and you can remove access at any time.

What Invited Family Members Can See

Once a family member accepts your invitation and installs the Fleedu app, they get their own login tied specifically to your child’s feed. Their access is intentionally scoped to keep your account secure.

Activity Feed

Invited family members can browse the full activity feed — all photos, videos, and text notes posted by teachers for your child, in real time.

Milestone Reports

Developmental milestone summaries are visible so family members can celebrate growth and progress alongside you.

Daily Activity Report

The consolidated daily summary is available to invited family members, giving them a clear picture of how your child spent the day.

Comments (Read-Only)

Family members can read comments on activity posts. They cannot post their own comments or message teachers directly.

What Invited Family Members Cannot Do

To protect your privacy and maintain clear lines of communication between parents and the school, invited family members have limited permissions.
Invited family members cannot view or pay invoices, access billing history, change any account or notification settings, send messages or comments to teachers, view teacher contact information, or invite additional people to the feed. Only the primary parent account holder manages these functions.

How to Send an Invitation

Sending an invitation takes less than a minute from the parent app. Make sure you have the family member’s phone number or email address ready before you start.

Open Family Settings

In the Fleedu parent app, tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar. Under the My Family section, tap Manage Family Access.

Tap 'Invite a Family Member'

On the Family Access screen you’ll see a list of anyone you’ve already invited. Tap the + Invite Family Member button to add someone new.

Enter Their Details

Fill in the family member’s name (so you can identify them in your list) and their phone number or email address. Fleedu uses this to send the invitation and to create their login.

Select the Child

If you have more than one child enrolled, choose which child’s feed this family member should have access to. You can grant access to one child, several, or all of them.

Send the Invitation

Tap Send Invitation. Fleedu immediately sends the family member an SMS or email with a secure invitation link and instructions for downloading the app.

Family Member Accepts

The invited person taps the link in their message, downloads the Fleedu app if they haven’t already, and follows the on-screen steps to activate their account. Once activated, they can see your child’s activity feed right away.
Let the family member know to check their spam or junk folder if they don’t receive the invitation within a few minutes. You can also resend the invitation from the Family Access screen if needed.

Managing Existing Family Access

You can review everyone who has access to your child’s feed and make changes at any time.
Go to Profile → Manage Family Access. Each invited family member appears in the list with their name, the email or phone number used for their account, and their current status:
  • Pending — The invitation has been sent but not yet accepted.
  • Active — The family member has accepted the invitation and can view the feed.
  • Removed — Access has been revoked (the entry stays in your list for reference).
If a family member hasn’t received or acted on their invitation:
  1. Find their name in the Manage Family Access list.
  2. Tap their entry to open the details.
  3. Tap Resend Invitation. A new invitation message is sent immediately, and the previous link is invalidated for security.
If you need to revoke someone’s access:
  1. Go to Profile → Manage Family Access.
  2. Tap the family member’s name.
  3. Tap Remove Access and confirm when prompted.
Their account is deactivated immediately. They will no longer be able to open the app or view any content for your child. This action takes effect in real time — there is no delay.

Privacy Safeguards for Invited Family Members

Fleedu is designed so that sharing your child’s feed doesn’t come at the cost of anyone’s privacy.
Invited family members can see activity content for your child, but they cannot see your personal contact details, the school’s billing information, or teacher phone numbers and email addresses. The school also cannot see the names or contact details of the family members you invite — that information stays within your account.
There is no limit to the number of family members you can invite. However, each person must have a unique phone number or email address — the same contact details cannot be used for more than one Fleedu account.
